The Boston Herald reports that Coco Crisp (finger) will play two extended spring training games this week before heading out on a minor league rehab assignment over the weekend.
"Because we’re sending him (to Florida), we can kind of do what we want," manager Terry Francona said. "He can play center field, he can lead off every inning. We are going to try to get him 10, 12, 15 at-bats. He’ll spend two days there, then go to Pawtucket and play Saturday night." He could be ready to come off the disabled list by Monday.
