Coco Crisp Update

Coco Crisp's (finger) agent said Thursday that Crisp should be back "in a relatively short period of time."

He also added that Crisp has "started to swing the bat a little bit," which he apparently hadn't done yet earlier this week. The Boston Globe reports that one Red Sox source believes Crisp will return before the end of the month and could begin a minor league rehab assignment next week.

I have a feeling he cut&pasted there.

From a non-fantasy standpoint, I want Coco to take his time. We're leading the division without him and when he comes back I'd like to see him running.

Update: Crisp, who is on the 15-day disabled list because of a fractured finger, required surgery last week to alleviate a painful kidney stone condition that developed complications, the Boston Globe reports.

Recommendation: The kidney stones have delayed Crisp's return to the lineup, but a club source thinks Crisp will be back by the end of the month.
