The football name that brought me my first championship, "Electric Uncle Sam", taken from a particularly rocking track off of the Primus album, Antipop.
The next FFL name was "Conquistadores", which is probably my favorite name that I've ever seen, and it deserved a repeat for this year. It means "Conquerors" for you non-Spanish fools.
FFB rookie season, and the team name that sent me to sub-.500 depths was "The Claymates", a funny play on Clay Aiken fans. But we sucked, and I'm sure it had to do with our namesake, so the team moved (really) and the named changed to "Renegades of Funk", taken from a Rage Against the Machine song (which may or may not have been a cover). Obviously I'm a big Tom Morello fan, hence the two music references involving his playing.
I rule. But not as much as I think I do. Oh yeah, and one more team name, "Adirondack Red Wings", an FFB name honoring the AHL team I watched when I was growing up. Nothing like a throwback to Upstate New York.
Once again, I rule.
