Paige started and pitched three innings for the Kansas City A's at the age of 59 on September 25, 1965, against the Boston Red Sox. He allowed just one hit, a double by Carl Yastrzemski in the first inning. He struck out one and walked no one, leaving the game leading 1-0. Diego Segui replaced the ancient pitcher and Boston came back to win 5-2.

I was 4 years old. Wish I could have seen that!
