Concerns about Helton????

I would not worry about Helton.He missed some time and wait until the weather heats up.As the poster mentioned above lots of doubles that will start turning into homers

not as much as one may think with the new humidor settings. there's another recent thread around that talks about that.

I was saying it for some time in th epre-season that this guy was way overrated. Two Hrs by mid-May? Lots of doubles?...can we say power losss due to no juice? The signs were there from last season with the power way down. Maybe he turns it around, but I would be surprised if he cracked 25 homers at this point. Which given where he was drafted, he better hit 350 to justify his draft selection spot in most leagues.

helton wasnt drafted in the 3rd round in most leages for his power? if everyone expect to hit 30+ homers along with everything else he would have been a first rounder..
helton should have a nice year.. 330+BA 100+ runs 100rb+i and around 20-25 homers.. top 20-25 player..

Don't you guys know? Yanks04 is the resident Helton hater. If there's a Helton thread, you'll likely see him in there with his roid talk of course. Just ignore it.

As for Todd, he'll be fine. He isn't a huge power hitter anymore, but he will hit a lot of doubles, score a lot of runs, and drive in a lot.

He had a stomach problem that put him the hospital and on the DL for a few weeks. During that time he lost 20lbs. He's hitting in a better lineup than last year and the rest of his body is as healthy as it's been except for the fluke stomach ailment. He should be fine once he gets his strength back and it heats up in Colorado.
