im roseys partner in this league and we're starting to get concerned. the one thing i feel we should try to do is trade chone or furcal because we have been dominating SBs every week. i feel that we could still win SBs usually without one of them. any other ideas?

ha. Hernandez is wrong now. But probably when Felix and Granderson pick it up a bit, and Peavy stabilizes, you will be welcomed back to 1st.

well seems like some of your guys just arent producing right now, such as bay, granderson, F. Hernandez, Lidge, Bedard...

whats the WW look like?

Peavy is starting to pick it up, Bay has shown alittle sign of coming around (though not much) Hernandez I think is going to be a bust this year, bedard...not sure whats going on there, started off so good....and lidge, he'll get it together and get his spot back

basically once everyone pulls it together again you should be fine ;-D

Dude... Like you, I had complete control of 1st place... so I know what you're going through man... I was up by as many as 20 points... dipped all the way down to a 1.5 point lead... but as of yesterday it went back up to 6... However, I am in a ROTO league... HOWEVER, whether you're in a H2H or ROTO league, you should click on "Full Standings" in your yahoo league and that will show you the breakdown of the categories that you're leading in, and that are giving you the most points...

Take for example my team...

10 Team Yahoo League (ROTO)

C - Ramon Hernandez - Orioles
1B - Jim Thome - White Sox
2B - Chase Utley - Phillies
3B - Miguel Cabrera - Marlins
SS - Jose Reyes - Mets
IF - Paul Konerko - White Sox
OF - Manny Ramirez - Red Sox
OF - Johnny Damon - Yankees
OF - Austin Kearns - Reds
Util - Orlando Cabrera - Angels
Util - Edwin Encarnacion - Reds
BN - Shea Hillenbrand - Blue Jays
BN - Jacque Jones - Cubs

SP - Mike Mussina - Yankees
SP - Johan Santana - Twins
SP - John Lackey - Angels
SP - Noah Lowry - Giants
SP - Joel Piniero - Mariners
SP - Shawn Chacon - Yankees
SP - Claudio Vargas - Diamondbacks
SP - Scott Marshall - Cubs

RP - Jason Isringhausen - Cardinals
RP - Jose Valverde - Diamondbacks

Here are the full standings of my team (category by category):

My Team

Runs 1st Place (10 points) 234 Runs
Home Runs 2nd Place (9 points) 69 Home Runs
Runs Batted In 3rd Place (8 points) 213 Runs Batted In
Stolen Bases 8th Place (3 points) 27 Stolen Bases
Total Bases 1st Place (10 points) 688 Total Bases
Average 3rd Place (8 points) .288 Average
OPS 1st Place (10 points) .890 OPS

Now this is where my team points drop off:

Innings Pitched - 7th Place (4 points) 294.2 Innings Pitched
Wins - Tied for 4th - (6.5 points) 22 Wins
Saves - Tied for 7th - (3.5 points) 14 Saves
OUT - Tied for 7th - (4 points) 884 OUT
K's (StrikeOuts) - 3rd Place (8 points) 263 K's
ERA - 2nd Place - (9 points) 3.48 ERA
WHIP - 2nd Place - (9 points) 1.18 WHIP

You add all that up you get 102 points for my team... whether you are in 6th place - 10th Place in, I would try and improve that category... from there, your team could only improve in the overall standings... Its just a matter of time till you get back into 1st! ;-D

So if you take my team for example, my weak spots are Stolen Bases, IP, OUT, Saves, basically pitching... except for K's, ERA, and WHIP... so look at the "Full Standings" page under "League Overview" Page... (Its a small but viewable link...) above the "Standings"

Hope this helps you out! ;-D

I'm not a fan of Furcal, having watched him for years here in Atlanta. I think he is highly overrated after just one season of solid work. I would recommend trading him for another, more well-rounded bat. Johnny Estrada in the UT spot is an interesting choice. There's no one better than a catcher for you there?

I originally picked him up to fill in for Ramon when he was hot and Ramon was cold, but his production has been great and if I were to draft now hed be the 6th catcher on my list.
