Ensberg alone should get you a good closer.

If you wannatrade nomar i'd try starting with the least of your pitchers and work your way up.

Maybe someone would bite on Nomar/Esantana

Also i wonder if you could package Beltran and someone to get a speedy outfielder like Crawford or Figgins. That way you aren't forced to play Freel or roberts for steals everyday

please help me out

ensberg should get you some of the top flight pitchers. If your looking for closers try to move Nomar and Haren for Wagner, Ray or ryan. Also once Harden and Gagne return you will get another huge upgrade in all your pitching cats

i think you need to move either nomar or ensberg. having both is doing you no good with one on the bench. you can get quality out of either, but may need to sweeten the deal a little more a nomar trade. if this were my team i would think of clipping on sexon to both solidify the trade for a top notch closer, and to get rid of him for some value. you could also use one of your young pitchers with haren coming off of the dl.

I would trade Nomar for a lower tier closer (ray, m. gonzalez) before trading ensberg for a better one. I'd also consider dropping freel in case any new closers are named (keep an eye on Coffey, F. Cordero, Guardado).

new trade offered, whir

Postby Sensei » Sun Jun 18, 2006 6:42 pm

Was just offered...
his
N. Swisher (Oak - 1B,OF) 54 56 69/244 51 17 46 1 .283 .941
C. Ray (Bal - RP) 95 82 29.1 1 2 18 29 3.07 1.12
for my
C. Beltrán (NYM - OF) 23 4 62/215 49 18 53 12 .288 1.014

I really don't wanna lose Beltran's speed, but I also need the saves bad. The only reason why I haven't clicked reject yet is Swisher's possibly keeper value for next year, we can keep 3 guys, 3 years at most for one player, and Swish would be $3 out of my $200 budget next year. However, I already have tons of possible keepers, Verlander, Hamels, Milledge, Kemp, even Corey Patterson is looking like he's easily worth $3 next year. Lemme know what you see, and leave a link to yours.

Youre definitely gonna wanna try to dump nomar while he's hot. He's such a huge injury risk that you don't want in your lineup. Plus his 3 cateory elgibility also makes more appealing. Plus the SS position is so thin so you can extra value for this position i mean theres only what 3 top SS and 100 of every other position. But whatever you do don't trade helton or sexson they are always huge second half players and will break away any day now.

Yes, Helton's not leaving my team, and prolly not Sexson either. How about the trade? I'm leaning towards no.

I would move Ensberg for a steady closer, like a C. Ray or Dempster.

thanks!
