don't agree at all. The guy has had good years the last 2 years and he is already over the "35" in age. He had a bad month in April but if you look it was only a little worse than last years' May...and he's already turning it around. With half the month left he already has passed all his numbers from April except runs by 3.

Jeff Kent and Craig Biggio amaze me.
Let's go O's. Let's go Mets.

I'd say Manny Ramirez is finally in the beginning stages of decline, but his totals are still huge.

As an annoyed Edmonds owner, I definitely agree with inclusing him.
What's the best measure? 3 consecutive years of declining OPS? Maybe after 2 years of decline, you make sure not to draft the guy the next year.

manny is definitely in the early stages of a decline....he's still a top hitter, but I have a feeling his numbers will shrink from here on out. I think it has to do with the fact that he can't hit lefties anymore.

Used to, with Manny, your fastball had to be 95+ to have a chance of blowing it by him... He's much more vulnerable to lower 90s fastballs than he used to be. He's sliding from a high high level though, so he's probably got some good #s in him.

Discussion on Baseball HQ podcast last week cited Sheff as a strong candidate to hit the skids soon ... apparently he is showing the early stat indicators. No surprise,
