Does anyone have an idea of when he'll be back, i'm thinking about dropping Villareal for him soon b/c of my lack of saves.

I have read mid-June. I have him stashed on my DL, but I'm not so sure he'll immediately get the closers role back.

Mid to late June. KC fully intends for him to be the closer when he comes back but expect a Todd Jones-like easing back in once he comes off the DL.

But even if he does come back, the Royals are so terrible that he won't get many save chances. He might be good for 25 or so for the year but that's it.

I'd temper that save estimate to 17-18 from the time of his return. The Royals aren't likely to top 25 saves for the season (including what Burgos skims off).

I'd temper it a bit more than that. If he's back mid to late June, then takes a minimum couple days to ease back in, we're less than a couple weeks from the all star break. Burgos should get a little less than half the chances, MacDougal a little more than half. If you really think 25 for the season in KC, I'd suggest Mike gets a little less than 15.

The sad thing is that in a deep combo league the chance for 15 saves is well worth the investment of a DL spot.

I have heard late June, but remember this guy is nowhere near ready. he was supposed to be out a month, originally, and that became 6 weeks, then 8, then 10. Burgos is throwing like crap, so WHENEVER Mac comes back the gig should be his. The question is when will that be? I am guessing 7/1.

"These go to 11".
