Anyone getting offers for Hamels???

I have seen a few go around and wonder what people are dealing him for.

I have seen:

Guillen (Was) for Hamels
Huff for Hamels
Holliday for Hamels
Liriano for Hamels (my favorite)
Mora for Hamels

Holliday for Hamels is ridiculous, as is Mora and even Huff.
Guillen shouldn't even be on any mixed league roster.

The Liriano for Hamels one is the only sensible trade IMO.

I'm the one with the Guillen proposal. It comes from a manager who previously sent me an offer of Nady/Schilling for Pujols He's clearly not into reasonable offers anyways.

I love this flavor of the week nonsense. A guy gets called up and all of a sudden he is the next Johan Santana without any bona-fides. So lets trade a stud OF for him based on hype and rumor? Geez I wish I had leaguemates that whacked in my money leagues.

If he gets shelled in his next outting all the Hamels talk dies and he hits the wire in 40% of the leagues.

IF!! Hamels stays healthy he might have Verlander type year. Struggle with command but has a huge ceiling. He has alot of value, I think, in fantasy leagues but thats really it, just because of the potential upside. His strike out numbers from the minors in previous years are sick though.

1 Trade:
Hamels + Hoffman for Mo Rivera + K Wood

Other:
Sexson + Hamels for Schilling + Chipper

Sell high if you can, definitely, because despite the numbers he's capable of putting up he could become the next Jesse Foppert or Edwin Jackson. I remember those guys were hot commodities for awhile... el sucko. Granted, Prior was great for a little while and there's always the possibility he'll hit the ground running.

What I'm trying to say is, if you can fill a bigger hole somewhere else with a proven commodity then it's hard not to hesitate to move Hamels. Hype is powerful.

I was offered Hamels and Lowry for Johan. That's temping, but the payoff could be a year away.
