LOL...Yeah and about 3 starters and a SS.
I love it when you Yank bashers have to turn a Red Sox criticism onto the Yanks liek somehow that validates the original point? Did anyone say the Yanks would dominate or were a player from dominating...No. The state of our staff has nothing to do with the fact that the Red Sox staff is hardly stunning and they have no SS. Dominating...yeah right...against the O's and the great Rodrigo Lopez.[/quote]
The "LOL...Yeah and about 3 starters and a SS" came off as pretty snide imo. Maybe it was the capital "LOL" that did it. "LOL"

Jesus, the last thing I want to see here in LA is another former Red Sox player. Plus Aybar can now get some PT at 3B while Mueller is injured and Izturis started to workout in LF, supposedly. Or they'll put Izturis at 2B, move Kent to 1B, and have Garciaparra play LF when Little Caesar returns.

Trust me...you do not want Nomar in the OF. Mean time to an injury would be about 3 days.

Sorry, I actually meant Angel Erick Aybar (blocked by Cabrera and Wood) not Willy Aybar. Off the topic, I was actually a lil' surprised they brought Willy Aybar up over LaRoche, just to give they the young stud a taste. Then you have the whole Joel Guzman, he's in OF now instead of SS, right? It seems like the Dodgers have a great problem to have with all these great young prospects. So I suspect some moves to be made by them in the near future. Besides, having Izturis @ 2B is sorta a waste of his talent if you ask me. He's one of the best, if not the best fielding SS in baseball.
too many Aybars

Scott Schoeneweis vs lefties over the past 3 years:
.218 AVG, .284 OBP, .265 SLG, .549 OPS and only 1 HR given up.
Scott Schoeneweis vs lefties as a Jay:
2005: .188 AVG, .260 OBP, .241 SLG, .501 OPS
2006: .182 AVG, .280 OBP, .182 SLG, .462 OPS
And this guy's a bad left-handed specialist to have around?
BTW, all you Yankees and Red Sox fans..the Jays have been the best team in the AL East this year. 3rd toughest schedule in the league so far, and still only a game and a half behind the Red Sox (who by comparison have had the 9th hardest).
And if you go by ESPN's RPI system, the Jays have been the 2nd best in the league, only behind the Rockies, and .01 ahead of the Red Sox.
It's early but it appears the Jays have done the best with what they've been given so far. And just think about what the Jays' record would be if Josh Towers didn't lose 7 straight. None of this really matters in the long run, though. It's the standings at the end of the season that count.
