his OBP is actually pretty much the same as it was last year. i think the difference is that he's been batting 2nd this year behind biggio.

I read somewhere that Berkman has a lot to do with it. With Berkman having a monster year, they're not running Tavares, who is batting before him.

As worrisome as his lack of SBs is the fact that I've see three analytic services note that he is average is largely a mirage. He is getting "lucky" this year to the tune of .075+. If that is indeed true and the law of averages kicks in, Taveras owners are in for a long season.

I drafted him in like 17th round this year before guys like Vasquez or Jenks, and obviously had high expectations for him. Really let me down.
