That is just lights out wicked #s... better than a k per inning, and a 10 to 1 K/BB ratio
How come nobodies talking about this kid?
Cause he plays for the Rockies??
Seriously though, he was picked up in my two big leagues for ratio and K help. I don't really know much about him other than I don't have room for him.
Basically I'm complicated.
I have a hard time taking the easy way
I wouldn't call it schizophrenia
But Ill be at least two people today
He was traded from the Yanks to the Rockies in the Chacon trade. He's known as a thrower with a good arm, but control is pretty bad and he still needs to learn how to pitch. I'm sure he'll get roughed up once batters have a few looks at him.
I think the Cincinatti stats that are in there are actually from a different pitcher. He was a decent pitching prospect in the Yankees' system, and came over in the Shawn Chacon trade, along with Edwardo Sierra.
He was mostly a starter before this year, and could be a decent starter at some point in his career. I don't know much about how many pitches he has, though, but it looks like he has at least three, which bodes well for a transition to starting pitching.
Maybe a K/BB ratio isn't standard baseballeze... But when I see a guy throwing 10 Ks for every walk, it makes me wonder if we've got the next mariano Rivera flying under the radar here?.. Granted, we're dealing with a small sample, only 15.1 innings, but the numbers are off the charts. 20 Ks in only 15.1 innings with just 2 walks and 6 hits, that's just dominating kind of #s.
