It's May 16, and I'm tied for 10th in a 15 team league. Is it time to cut bait and trade my expensive studs (Papi, Chavez, Carpenter) for future keepers, or should I stick it out, trading my cheap youth (Bay, Delmon Young, Felipe Lopez, etc.) for guys who can make a huge difference now? With Matsui out long-term, I'm thinking my chances might be slim.
Help me out!

If I had to guess, I'd say you are dying on the mound. Schilling, Hernandez and Sabathia are probably the guys I would move. Preferrably together for future pitching. There are some young guys out there who will help both this year and for years to come (Lowry, Liriano, Bonderman and others like that).

I would see which cats you can gain in and where you can realistically finish before giving up in May. What fun is that?
In 2 months, the young keepers will still be there to trade for, but demand for your vets might be higher as teams near the top address their needs for the stretch run.
A little too early to cut bait, and like they said above, your vet pitchers will have even more value when the top guys start getting desperate to take the title.... How many keepers do you get?
