If he was on my WW, I'd scoop him immediately. Like the original poster said... he's a notorious slow started, and a trip to the DL didn't help his rythem at all. If you have space, I'd let him ride the pine until he heats up.

Let's face it... if you drop him you won't get equal value from a FA, and someone will pick him up and post "Thank you" messages when he starts to rake.

You have to remember that he spent time on the DL. Couple that with his usual slow start and that puts his best stuff coming a couple weeks or so after the break.

I tend to not allow players on my roster with bad BA's, and I don't expect Huff, even once he heats up, to be desirable in that dept.

Huff's got too much potential to put up good numbers to drop. Let him ride the pine if you can afford it. This would be a good time to trade for him if you have the space on the bench actually.

Agreed, potentially droppable in a 10 teamer, but he is only a week out of his injury...even taking into consideration the down year last year, I will not drop him because of his history, also I am banking on a mid season trade to a contender or a better hitting club. I really think he will be dealt, his contract is up with the Drays at the end of this season.

I have heard rumors of him going to the Yanks. I wouldn't mind it as a Yankee fan.

I am in a real dilemma. I have Huff riding the pine and Rodney was just put on waivers. Closers are at a premium in my big money league. I am not soliciting advice, just can't get any decent opinions in Draft/Trade.

I am just inquiring as to what people think Huff will do this year and whether to cut bait.

There was an MLB Fantasy 411 discussion last Friday that centered around players who have been statistically "unlucky" this year based on balls in play, ratios etc... Huff was on the list. But it was fairly relative. Instead of hitting under .200 as he is, they noted that he could/should just as easily be hitting .260 or so. Big deal. That's Probably still marginal in a 10-team.
