Palmeiro doubles his viagra dosage! Anybody sit him?

Postby kcs261 » Tue Jul 29, 2003 12:17 am

Man, I feel like I dodged a bullet. I had been sitting Palmeiro the last week because he hadn't been doing anything. I went back and forth on it today and finally stuck him in my lineup. Oh man, I can't believe my fortunes. I've made a lot of garbage moves, but a grand-slam, and a three-run homer!! This is the kind of explosion from Palmeiro I've been waiting for!! Maybe he'll still get to 40 again!! I don't care above his average if he goes yard 16 more times! Go "Viagra Man!" ;-D

I've had him benched too, but I saw he has been hitting a bit better recently, and thank God it was a slow monday and there was room for him in my line-up.

If it was just one big day, I'd probably put him right back on the bench. There's a little spark of hope he's coming around, so I think I'll find room for him in the line-up the next couple days. He earned a little look-see today.

I only have Huff/Conine as 1B options, so it's not like I'm loaded with talent at 1B.

Amazing that Safeco, not exactly the AL version of Coors, is just that for Palmeiro. I believe he has more HR in this park than any other visiting player.

About time

Postby BayAreaBaseballFan » Tue Jul 29, 2003 6:12 am

Man, Rafi is my only 1b and he's been KILLING me. I traded away Giambi (cuz I'm incredibly stupid..) really early in the season, and although it loaded up my SP I have really gotten nothing out of my 1b slot til today =) Hoo boy this feels good... now if only Wolf and Vazquez didn't suck it up so much I would feel ever better.

I sat him, with good reason. I recently traded for sexson, so I had him in at 1st. He hasn't been too bad as of late 4-4 saturday night and 3-3 last night with a pair of HR, would have loved to have palmeiro at utility, but he has been doing nothing lately... maybe tonight, but I doubt he will do that again!!!
