As for Peralta, I took him in the *cringe* late 4th round of a 12 teamer. There was a little bit of a run on SSs and I totally paniced. Ugh. :-P

I'm not giving up yet. If he can hang on to the #3 spot in the order and heat up with the weather, he may put up the big numbers everyone expected.

Are you guys serious? He's projected to end up with 17 HR, 83 RBI, and 129 R. That's disappointing considering he is expected to improve on last year, but consider the fact that he's underachieved thus far and is still projecting those numbers. Give him one hot month and he'll surpass last years 24, 78, 82 line. The BA of course hurts, but we're talking about ~50 more runs here. If I can have .275/17/83/129 from him, I'll take it every year.

129 runs from an SS? Good lord! 8-o

Some fool dropped him in my league a few weeks back. I promptly dropped Barmes for him. 129 runs would make me a VERY happy man.

This should just be a day off but Peralta's not in the line up today. This comes after a 3 for 4 night including 2 doubles. I was hoping to watch him catch fire. They have blake in the 3 spot which scares me too, as a peralta owner, cuz blake's been on a tear.

same v. Radke too I think (tomorrow's starter) but he should be playing

Another one year wonder. When you look that up you'll see Peraltas name right next to Beltre.

But he hasn't been anywhere near as bad as Beltre is/has been. He still has 35 runs and he didn't heat up last year until the summer. Give the guy a little more time before you compare him to Beltre.

Well...I tried warning you, but you didn't lisent Peralta owners did you?

Based on his minor league stats, there was no way Peralta was going to keep up what he did last year. Defense and offense combined, he was a top 5 player in the league!

Now, is he as bad as he's playing now? No...not even close...I even just used a waiver on him. But to believe he will do what he did last year is just denial.

There are still over 100 games to play. Anything can happen.

Also to remember he IS only 24! Not like he is 27-28 and in the prime of his career. He will play better than he is right now! ;-D
