I was looking to trade him for a big bat. And i was wondering what his value is. He is pitching great right now, but do you think it will last? thanx

No, it will not last. His k/9, bb/9 are terrible. Not to mention his bb/k. Unless he makes the transition to crafty lefty, like Moyer and Glavine, he has no chance. And even those two had better K rates than he does.

I know his K's are low but does anyone think his ERA/WHIP and wins will keep at this high pace? Im looking to trade for a 1B and was thinking about getting rid of him.

There is no transition for Maroth to make, he has always been a crafty lefty type. He will never get big K numbers and relies on keeping hitters off balance. Easily off to his best start, he lacks the Ks and name recognition to net much in a trade. His value is probably more on your roster than it is in trade prospects. Maybe if you package him with someone for an upgrade...
