A lot of rookie pitchers are great the first time around the League (2005: Hernandez, Duke etc...). Advantage on first encounters is decidely with the pitcher. But scouts and hitters catch-up very quickly. If he sticks, he'll go through a period where he gets clobbered and then he'll find his level. But he has great long-term potential.

Although brief, he has never been clobbered in his pro career.

I'm actually more interested in whether or not he's ever been clobbered in his bar fighting career. 6' 3" 175..come on!

I know that his hand was clobbered. He is a skinny little dude. He's got a hot girlfriend though...

I lost the Come Hamels lottery today. Team ahead of me was named "Dan's Phillies". I had no chance.

I'll take any odds on him getting his clock cleaned quite handily a few times before year is over. He's a fine prospect. No question. I don't care how good he did in Little League -- MLB is a different universe,.[/quote]
