May 20 Peter Kerzel, of Orioles.MLB.com, reports Baltimore Orioles 2B Brian Roberts (groin) is not ready to return from the disabled list. Roberts was scheduled to come off the disabled list Friday, May 19, but he still felt discomfort in his strained left groin. Roberts, although frustrated, remains confident that a full recovery is the best thing, "it's just smart to wait." Roberts is scheduled to return to baseball activities Saturday, May 20 including taking batting practice, running and fielding.

Brian Roberts (groin) will go with the Orioles on their road trip to Seattle.

However, the team has yet to say when it will activate Roberts from the disabled list. Roberts has been out since April 30, but played two rehab games at Triple-A.

Orioles manager Sam Perlozzo said Monday that Roberts went through a full workout and could return during the series against the Mariners.

I guess we'll just have to check our lineups around game time every day to see if he's been activated.

Manager Sam Perlozzo said Monday that Brian Roberts (groin) is "getting close" to returning.

"There's no question about it," Perlozzo said. "It could be one day, it could be two. The trainer said that he went through his exercises with a little more confidence today. That's a good sign. If he still feels it just a little bit and he's a little uncomfortable with that, then we are better to wait and see if it will go away."
