Anyone know if he will be splitting time at 1st? He played DH today. Hope that helps.

I can't see him playing 1B anytime soon. He'll DH mostly and catch when Hernandez gets a night off.

Gibbons and Millar will be the 1B.

Gibbons has been only playing RF. I think Millar and Conine have been getting reps at 1B.

Yeah sorry I meant Conine and Millar will share time at 1B.

Yeah definitely pick him up. I had him down as the 2nd most valuable catcher this year behind V-Mart with the expectation of him hitting clean-up and playing everyday as the O's DH.

The injury has set him back but I'm still hopeful of Top 5 catcher numbers from now on. He should be back hitting 5th in a few weeks as well which should further boost his numbers.

Are there any plans to play Javy at 1st during interleague play? I can't see how they would want to take Hernadez out of the line-up and Lopez looks like he is starting to hit.

I could almost guarantee you that there isn't. He struggled learning the position in ST and the O's decided then that initially he would only DH and fill in for Hernandez at C. Nothing's changed to date so I'm confident you'll see Javy sitting for the three interleague series on the road against the Nationals, Braves and Mets.
