Rain!!!

It's raining "wickid hahd" up here north of Boston, and it has been for DAYS. This is longest, sustained rain I've ever experienced here.

Basically everybody in this area is dealing with (at best) flooded streets and yards, and, more seriously, flooded basements and home damage.

It's mostly a nuisance, but has the potential to be dangerous, especially for older folks, or others who can't look out for themselves.

No real point, just venting. I've got a wet basement, but with rain in the forecast for the first half of the coming week, there's not a whole lot to do about it till the rain finally stops.

If you see shots of towns like Peabody or Salem, Mass., underwater on the news tonight, think of us.

yeah its been raining off and on mostly on for the last liek 5 or 6 days here. Pretty annoying.

This rain is depressing here in central CT. Not as bad as furhter north, but the rain is so damn depressing. I havent seen sun in a week and theres rain in the forecast until next sunday!

No school up here in Northern Mass

We might not have to make it up at the end of the year either because it could be considered a state emergency

I live in southern NH and the water is still rising Monday morning. Not in very good shape up here, towns are being evacuated and roads are being washed away. Luckily I don't live near a river, but my basement is still flooding . I was up drinking bud lights and bailing water all night with my buddy. Hopefully it stops sometime soon .

Wow, I'm reading all sorts of reports and saw a bunch of pics. Looks pretty bad up there.
Note to the wise; if they tell you to evacuate, please do so. Don't be stubborn about it.
Also, in the aftermath, keep on top of the insurance companies regarding everything. They love to try and pull scams after a large number of claims are made in the same area.

Yeah, it's raining on and off here in northern new jersey, but we were in a official drought, so it's all good.
