Any word on Daniel Cabrera's injury?

Postby WittyC » Sun May 14, 2006 5:25 pm

I noticed in the box score he left in the fifth with tightness in his shoulder. Anyone know the extent of the damage? Any chance he'll still get his start in next week against Washington?

I hope I won't have to add him to my pile of dead pitchers along with Sheets and Harden. :~(

because not everybody plays in 12 team leagues?

Anyways, here's what they have on Rotoworld

Rotoworld wrote:Daniel Cabrera left Sunday's game in the fifth inning with tightness in his right shoulder. He's scheduled for an MRI on Monday.
Cabrera allowed two runs and walked seven in four innings before departing. He was removed while warming up to start the fifth inning. Kurt Birkins replaced him. If Cabrera needs to go on the DL -- and the Orioles won't want to take any chances with him -- Hayden Penn could be called up and put into the rotation.

I play in an 18 Team League; Daniel Cabrera along side Javier Vazquez were my pitchers I could rely on bringing up my strikeout totals...

I might just have to drop D-Cab after this latest news. I might bring in Buchholz for a spot start tommorow and have him for a second start later next weekend.

This is probably the best thing that can happen to the owners of Cabrera. Its a great reason to bench him. Nobody would want to take him in trade. Wheres Leos magic? Eight more walks in four innings?

Leo may or may not be magical, but one thing I do know: When Daniel Cabrera is on the mound, Leo isn't throwing the ball - Daniel is.

Another thing I do know is that pitchers are better than pitching coaches.

Really, the Leo Mazzone thing is so overrated.
