I thinking someone like Mark Derosa for the Rangers. Someone who can produce decent #'s for a couple weeks while the normal starter is injured. My MI production is bad.
I assume Bill Hall is taken. I like Loretta as well, Todd Walker if he's there, Wiggington maybe, a little deeper is Esteban German if he gets 2b eligibility. German stole 43 bags in the minors last year
Hanley WAS a great sleeper... now I think he's a decent sell-high candidate, as I am not so sure he will hit .300 all year... I also think Ellis can still be had for cheap, and he has really turned it up a notch lately...
He will only get better as he posts his best numbers during the summer months.
I do like Loretta, as mentioned above. The only reason I like Ellis a little more is that he might hold onto the leadoff spot in that lineup, while Loretta is likely to move down once Crisp returns. I think they will move Youk to the number two hole. But if Loretta continues to hit well, he could stay there. Both should provide good numbers.
Basically I'm complicated.
I have a hard time taking the easy way
I wouldn't call it schizophrenia
But Ill be at least two people today
Ellis looks like he's heading now toward where he was in the last half of 2005... He seems to have won back the leadoff spot, so it's a good run-scoring spot.
Khalil Greene is hitting for some serious power lately, and he's taking more walks, which is a good sign that he's maturing at the plate so the avg. may be coming up soon too.... still too many 0-fers occassionally, but for the SS spot, he's got serious power, and don't be scared by the Petco rep, for a righty pull hitter like Greene, Petco is hitter-neutral if not friendly.... It's the gaps that make Petco so ugly for regular power guys.
