does anyone here subscribe to BP? Is it helpful for fantasy? I know they have a fantasy section.

I think its useful for fantasy in a general sense of learning about players, evaluating prospects, and making projections. If you're into stats and baseball then its great, and the things you learn there can help you in fantasy.

The best part about BP for me is Under The Knife section which talks about injuries.

Not sure if you've heard about baseballhq, but i think they are better than prospectus simply because they give you more stuff that you can apply to fantasy directly such as luck related numbers like abnormal hit rates and other stuff to give you an idea of when a guy is really struggling or if he's just been unlucky a la Mark loretta.

The subscription is a lot more expensive though ;(

i paid for it this year. i personally would not do it again. i mainly wanted it for articles or fantasy material. the updates are like every week. if your interested in numbers and projections of players, could be useful.

I agree. I read this every day, and it gives much better analysis than major news outlets. Otherwise, the info isn't particularly helpful for fantasy baseball, but it is really intriguing and helpful when thinking about the game.

IF you can understand the metrics, you can draw parallels to fantasy. They just don't lay it out nicely in tables and sentences for the average fan. You gotta do some yard work yourself.

Personally i love the site. The stats are especailly useful for projecting future proformence. Apperently several ML GMs have BP bookmarked, so that should tell you about the respect they have among baseball insiders.
