Larry Bowa should be fired next .. (Randy Wolf Today)

I will quickly enter in to evidence there underperforming team and the simple fact that his "Magic 8 Ball" failed him again. Today with a 5-4 lead he allowed Randy Wolf to bat in the bottom of the 7th, 2 out. Randy took the mound in the top of the 8th, only throwing 94 pitches, but still a 1 run lead, and proceeded to give a meat pitch to Casey who inturn tied the game. Result, Remove Wolf? Now he is done? Now he can't give any more? Why not Bat for him in the bottom of the 7th?

Bowa needs a new gig. :-)

I agree with you...after Wolf threw almost 140 pitches last time out, why not take him out early today? The Phillies bullpen isn't terrible, until the 9th w/ Mesa. I wouldn't have left him in for another inning, he deserves a rest.

Yes, that was horrible. I was absolutely shocked he was left in for the 8th. Although his pitchcount wasn't entirely high, he had labored through a few innings, and was probably spent, especially following up a CG. Maybe Bowa's logic was that Casey and Dunn, 2 of the 3 batters coming up, were lefties. However, both had seemingly had good cuts off Wolf in the past and today. What gets me is if you have Cormier warming anyways, why not pitchhit for Wolf in the top half and bring in Cormier anyways. Does he have that much lack of faith in his pen, that he'd misuse Wolfman like that? Inexcusable if you ask me.

I'd have pinch hit for him and let him have the rest of the afternoon off.

Ironically, wolf is much better against righties than lefties. Last time I checked, the Phillies wanted to get that wild card, but I guess Bowa has no mercy for the best lefty in the n.l.
