I have made about 6 major trades from my roster, have lost great pitching, good batting, good fielding, but really I think my team is almost there to its full potential, the best that its gonna be...
If all SIX trades go through the league and get approved, this is what my team will look like on paper:

1B - Jim Thome - White Sox
2B - Chase Utley - Phillies
3B - Miguel Cabrera - Marlins

IF - Paul Konerko - White Sox
OF - Manny Ramirez - Red Sox
OF - Carlos Lee - Brewers

SP - Claudio Vargas - Diamondbacks
SP - Shawn Chacon - Yankees
RP - Jason Isringhausen - Cardinals

I know my pitching is a bit thin/limited, but if you look at my batting, its full of power, runs, hits, rbi's, home runs, avg, and ops, as well as SB's...

This was before 8 trades, AFTER the 8 trades is what you may have above...
I definitely like your offense, and the back-end of your rotation will be helped by Clemens in a little over a month (I'm predicting he'll be with Houston). I'm a little nervous, too, about relying on Valverde for saves the rest of the way. Overall, though, it seems like you'll be competitive.
Would love your help with this post if you have a spare moment. If not, I totally understand.
with the trades you have defientily improved your offense very much. it's a solid offensive team but i think your pitching could still use some work. maybe you could package one of your SP and a descent offensive guy to get an elite SP. i'd try to package hillenbrand and maybe millwood or kazmir to get a more consistant and elite SP
I agree, overall good team. And good pitching if Clemens does come back. In the meantime though, maybe look at acquiring another average or slightly above average SP.
I would love to have an offense like yours...seems like you have all the bases covered (pun intended) and that alone should carry you through the year, even if you did have a bad pitching rotation....Fortunately for you, though, you're pitching is the weak spot, but it really isn't that weak in my eyes...Santana is playing great as of late, Mussina is a machine, Hamels is a great prospect and will get you K's regardles...Lowry, Vargas, and Chacon, in my eyes, are middle of the road guys but they won't inflate your ERA/WHIP too much...I would maybe look to trade for another closer just to keep you afloat in the saves category...but that's just me...
So cross your fingers that these trades come through for you...and Good Luck with your season...
