Ron Perranoski (MIN) led AL + ML with 31 in 1969 - Fred Gladding (HOU) led the NL with 29.

Not sure if it was Offical back then, but thought this was interesting, (
http://www.baseball-reference.com/leagu ... 71_t.shtml ) shows that 2 people recored saves in 1871.
Harry Wright led the league with 3 Saves
and
Ed Pinkham was in second with 1 Save
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. -Crash Davis
Stewie : [watching a baseball game] Why does that man drop his club before he runs? I would bring it with me!
