Lidge has not looked good at all this year.

I think we can all thank Albert Pujols for haunting Lidge in the offseason.

Years from now when we're telling stories about how good Albert Pujols was, the story of how he ruined the career of one of the best closers in the game with 1 swing in the 2005 postseason is going to pretty cool.
Then again, if Lidge gets his mojo back that story isn't going to be quite as cool.

Closers very rarely get the job back. I say grab Wheeler or Qualls because unless it takes 2-3 days to "improve the mechanics" Lidge will likely be done. Dan Kolb still haunts me, 5th round pick...
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

I agree with grabbing Wheeler and Qualls.
But I think you can't compare Lidge to the other closers. As mentioned earlier in this thread, Lidge has had great peripheral numbers the last two years, and if he can just get those walks under control he should become dominant again.

This is a pretty funny post. Please do not compare Dan Kolb to Brad Lidge. And also please stop saying that Lidge's meltdown is because of Albert Pujols' home run. Its a home run hes given up a lot in his career, i hope you guys realize the Astros won the NLCS. Id say pujols hr would be a factor if that was game 7.
The Mets will win the World Series this year.

Umm...when did I compare the two pitchers? Umm...when did I ever mention the Pujols homerun? Hope you're not illiterate.
