He has been great his last couple starts, but then again these are the Braves ...

We might see another slugfest like we did yesterday, so I'm not sure if I'd start him............

I was just about the ask the same thing.

BRAVES PROBABLE STARTER: Mike Hampton (6-5, 4.54 ERA). Hampton is 3-0 over his last four starts despite a 4.16 ERA over that span. The Braves have scored 31 runs behind the left-hander in those outings. Hampton gave up our runs and a season high-tying 11 hits in Atlanta's 5-4, 12-inning home loss to Florida on Wednesday. The left-hander posted a 7-5 victory over the Expos in Atlanta on July 6, improving to 6-2 with a 3.15 ERA in 11 career games, including eight starts, against Montreal.

EXPOS PROBABLE STARTER: Javier Vazquez (8-6, 3.67 ERA). Vazquez has won his last two starts, allowing three earned runs and 15 hits over 17 innings for a 1.59 ERA. The right-hander has also struck out 18 and issued just one walk over that stretch. In a 5-2 victory over the New York Mets on Wednesday, he struck out 11 and gave up two earned runs and six hits over eight strong innings. Vazquez is 1-0 with an 0.84 ERA in two starts against Atlanta this season. In 16 career starts against the Braves, the 27-year-old Puerto Rican is 6-7 with a 3.21 ERA.

Hmmm . . .

Slugfest, I'm tellin ya! I think the Braves will outslugg the Expos, now that Javy is back in the lineup.

Look @ it this way the Braves offense

Furcal 13HR 38RBI 17SB .274
Giles 9HR 43RBI 8SB .304
Sheffield 25HR 81RBI 13SB .325
C. Jones 18HR 62RBI 2SB .293
A. Jones 25HR 75RBI 2SB .295
Fick 10HR 60RBI 1SB .304
Lopez 28HR 70RBI .324
Castilla 17HR 57RBI 1SB .278

That's sic out of nine players that are batting around .300! Five guys have more than 15 HR! And five players with at least 60 ribbies. That's got to be a slugfest!

I got Vasquez in a H2H and I'm sitting him tonight. I got enough good pitching that I don't need the Braves to kill my era/whip.

Unless you really needs wins, I'd sit him. There's enough season left to get the win somewhere else.

Could go either way, but I wouldn't risk it.
Yes doctor, I am sick.
Sick of those who are spineless.
Sick of those who feel self-entitled.
Sick of those who are hypocrites.
Yes doctor, an army is forming.
Yes doctor, there will be a war.
Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
