I think his overall stuff, make up, and delivery are much more suited for closing. Right now even though they say he has a change up, it's still obviusly not a finished product or he would be having better numbers in AAA.

I don't see Sowers on any of these lists, noone high enough on him, looks like he might get the call soon to replace JJ?

I am pretty high on Sowers. I just don't know how much success he will have initially, although he has had no problems thus far in the minors.

On the Hansen subject. I think the Red Sox realize that the best closers actually begin their minor league careers as starters because they are able to work in a wide variety of situations and work on all of their pitches.

I do not think the Sox starting him means they are grooming him to start, and I think if they are going to make him a starter, it is a silly idea, as stated above by hybrid.
