I really like ponson and he's a free agent in my league, but baltimore has a tough schedule for the next two months. If he's traded, he's a sure add. But what are the chances that he'll be traded?

I doubt he'll be traded, to be honest.

Anyway, you are missing a lot if you think fantasy sports is all about the numbers. Yes, they matter, certainly. But looking at splits and all that other stuff will not tell you everything. For example, despite what the splits say, I think Damon will have a huge second half. There's a lot about hunches and knowing the game... I think it's essential to win. Numbers lie constantly.

I think Ponson will be traded. It's still possible that he ends up with the Red Sox. His value goes up if that happens.

If he's a FA in your league, unless you have an all-star staff all the way through, I would pick him up. I don't know if he'll be this good all year but even with a small dropoff, he's been great.

Saves: First place-16 in front of second place

WHIP: (1.22) TIED for 1st-between 3 teams

I sure hope he does get traded, he's wasting away in BAL (even though he's got a great record). Go to a team that matters.

I would drop Meche or Dotel for him. Meche seems to be breaking down and Dotel won't get you much saves (which you don't need). I think that Dotel is also banged up. This is also assuming that you don't have "drop" material on offense.

The Braves are apparantly willing to deal Jason Marquis and Wilson Betemit (both AAA Richmond) and maybe another pitching prospect for Baltimore's Sidney Ponson....

I'd drop Dotel for Ponson.
