The same Eric Duncan that hit .260 in A-Ball in 04, .235 in AA in 05 and .209 in AAA so far this year? Surely they'd jump at getting Hunter for that? What are they holding onto him for- waiting for him to beat out ARod for the third base job?

Pretty sure he moved to first base.

Yup, which is exactly why they moved him to first.
Seems the only possible explanation, as the move probably hurts his trade value. Either way, it's 2009 before he gets the fulltime gig, and even then, can anyone really see the Yankees with Giambi's contract coming off the books not going out and getting a proven 1B slugger rather than an as-yet-unspectacular prospect?
Still think he's outta there if the Yanks can get a proven MLB talnet for him.
