It's independent league, so no they are not affiliated, I actually know of a guy on the Schaumburg team (cousin of a friend of mine) so it was funny to see them on there...

Yeah, this is correct. I've seen a couple Schaumburg Flyers' games and it's quite entertaining. They do fairly crazy things quite often (had a player play all nine positions in one game, started a 96 year-old pitcher) so I wouldn't put this past them.
