Griffey Jr. to NYY?

According to talk on ESPN's Baseball Tonight last evening, Griffey Jr. will be pursued by the Yanks now that Matsui is down for a while (three-plus months) and sheff is injured, too. What value would Griffey have in the Yankee lineup and will he start all year or will there be trouble when Sheff and Matsui return?

I don't see Cincy making the deal. Maybe before they traded Wily Mo, but not now. There's nobody to replace him.
