Yanks calling up Kevin Reese.

Reese's line in Columbus:
.250/.333/.375

Meanwhile, Kevin Thompson's line in about the same amount of at-bats:
.287/.386/.426

Plus Thompson can steal a base and has a better glove. I'm happy to see Reese getting the call, but I can't help but feel like they're bringing up the wrong Kevin.

Seriously, Thomson should have gotten the the call before any other OF in the minors. But i have a feeling the Yankees might look to deal him.

Here is the explanation, posted on another forum.

Did you hear Cash's comments of the process that yielded Reese instead of Thompson?

He said that he asked Torre what kind of role that player would have. Since Torre wanted a bench player, he called up Reese over Thompson because they want Thompson to play everyday.
