Who should I drop? I can have two bench spots.

I am in a NL only keeper league. We can only keep 8-10 players and the rest go back in a draft and there is a salary cap. I've made trades this year to get Milwood, Willis, Nomo, Lidge.

C-M. Barett
C-Ojeda
1B-Helton
2b-E.Young
3b-Burroughs
SS-Cintron
OF-Sosa
OF-L. Gonzalez
OF-Alou
OF-J. Guillen
CI-J Thome
MI-R. Durham
U-Timo Perez
U-Rich Aurillia
Bench-Nevin (need to drop someone for Nevin this week)
DL Griffey

SP-Milwood
SP-Nomo
SP-D. Willis
SP-Brett Myers
RP-F. Rodriguez
RP-R. Cormier
RP-B. Lidge
RP-R Beck
bench-B. Lawrence
bench-B. Fuentes
DL-Armas Jr.

I am about to offer a trade for Smoltz of Milwood and the rights to griffey. This will make SURE I dont protect Griffey for three years in a row!!!

I need speed is the only reason havent dropped Perez already...

Without a doubt, drop Perez. He doesn't give you much speed with 2 SB's. Even with some weaknesses on your staff, I would drop him.

with a quick glance

1-1B: Helton
2-2B: Durham
3-3B:Nevin
4-SS:Aurilia
5-OF:Sosa
6-OF:L. Gonzalez
7-Util: J Thome

8-SP:Milwood
9-SP:Nomo
10-SP:D. Willis
11-SP:Brett Myers

don't trade for a close with intentions to keep him.
trade thome and griffey for a stud OF like, sheff, pujols, etc,
then in the 1st & 2nd round grab closers
then grab some pitchers like peavy, sheets, runelvys - guys who can get Ks but are on strugglign teams often get overlooked btu provide decent era and whip

Your team looks pretty good but I'd drop Perez and trade for some speedy guys.
