Rowand down, "injured hand."

Even as a Mets fan, you have to respect what Rowand did to catch that ball. Brutal play. He ran face-first right into one of the only spots in the outfield without any padding. If it's just the broken nose and there's no issues with a concussion, then he hopefully won't be out of action for too long.

"Rowand was admitted to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where he will undergo further evaluation after his violent collision with the center-field wall. Phillies manager Charlie Manuel said a disabled list stint could be likely for his starting center fielder.

"He's hurt pretty bad," Manuel said. "He's going to be out for a while. How long? I don't know yet." "

May 12 ESPNews reports Philadelphia Phillies OF Aaron Rowand (nose) was placed on the 15-day disabled list with fractures to his orbital bone.


Cameron missed almost two months with this injury last year. Let's hope that it's not as bad.

i give up...offensively i have spotted the field the first six weeks of the season w/injuries to helton, rolen, rowand, griffey and hermida..13 team NL only, i am depleted
