My reaction to most of those was "so what?"- who cares how long a coat hanger is or how long a housefly lives.

The foot size one is true though, unless you're nocturnal, in which case your feet would be their largest in the early morning.

I thought that Prince Charles just flapped his ears to fly.

2. Alfred Hitchcock didn't have a belly button.

Sort of true, he was born with with one like all mammals but his was sewn up after surgery.

5. Only 7% of the population are lefties.

Depends on which study you ask. This one disagrees.

6. People do not get sick from cold weather, it is from being indoors a lot more.

Way to vague to be any sort of wierd trivia.

7. Forty people are sent to the hospital every minute from a dog bite.

That would be a very different estimate than what this site claims. 1,000 per day vs 57,600 per day...

8. Babies are born without knee-caps, they don't appear until ages 2-6 yrs.

Wrong again

9. The average person over 50 has spent 5 years waiting in line.

Brief debunking of this is here.

10. The toothbrush was invented in 1498.

Err, no. Link

14. The average computer user blinks 7 times per minute.

Depends on who you ask. This claims it to be 5 blinks a minute.

16. Most of us have eaten a spider in our sleep.

Probably not.

17. The REAL reason ostriches stick their head in the sand is to search for water.

Ostriches do not stick their head in the sand.

26. If coloring weren't added to Coca-Cola, it would be green.

If no coloring were added to Coke it would would be clear because it would be water. Snopes on Coke.

That same list of facts was in our school newspaper. Most people didn't believe most of them, but a kid (who interestingly enough doesn't have a belly button himself) thoroughly researched each one, and found that they all were at least somewhat accurate.
