OF Freddy Guzman, San Diego Padres – While Dave Roberts is the starting center fielder, expect Guzman to be breathing down his neck. Roberts has been injured a lot the past two years; Guzman has averaged eighty stolen bases the past two years. The Padres are going to use Guzman in the very near future, and so should you. Add Guzman to your NL only leagues. It’s only a matter of time before Roberts is down with injury and Guzman is called up
Just got traded to Texas and is expected to get called up quick.
well, if he DOES get called up, i don't see him playing over wilkerson, matthews, or mench. if one gets injured, though, it could be nice. i seem to remember him having a tough time putting the bat on the ball during limited action last year.
I had basically an open roster spot in one league, so I'm adding him for now. Something is suspicious here. I think someone's about to hit the DL personally. There was no need to make this move, and Sinisi is actually a pretty good prospect. I'll hold on to him until after tonight's game, because if a DL move is about to be made, it would be before the game.
Edit: Just realized they don't play tonight, so I'll hold on to him until after tomorrow's game.

Guzman is probably the best prospect in the deal, although he certainly doesn't have Sinisi's offensive upside. The speedy 25-year-old would have been a better fit in Petco Park than he would be in Arlington. Guzman is a switch-hitting, Tom Goodwin-type center fielder. His package of skills won't make him an above average regular, but he could be a decent option in center while he's cheap. This trade looks like an indication that the Rangers are souring on Laynce Nix. Guzman will likely head to Triple-A for now.
