Need some outside opinions on how my team looks. I'm in a very competetive league with smack talk and tons of roster moves. I've made alot of changes along the way which I think have improved my team. I'm sitting in 4th place right now, with 8 points separating me from the 1st place team. Any comments on my team and areas where I can improve would be MUCH appreciated.

League: 12 team roto, C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, IF, OF, OF, OF, OF, Util, SP, SP, SP, RP, RP, RP, P, P, P, BN, BN, BN, BN, DL

Stats counted: R, H, HR, RBI, SB, CS, E, FPCT, AVG, W, SV, K, SVOP, ERA, WHIP, K/BB, K/9

Pitching staff and OF aren't the strongest, but it looks like a solid team.

I'd say that your SP needs the most work. I like the lineup, though, especially with Holliday heating up.

Yeah my outfield isnt the greatest, but I started out with much worse. Here are the major moves I've done so far:

dropped: Gathright
added: Hunter

dropped: Granderson
added: Wilkerson

traded: Hawpe, Gagne
received: Holliday and added Huff from waivers

traded: Kazmir, Taveras
received: Ensberg

I like my OF now, but would like to upgrade my SP's. I guess Howard, Weeks, and Johjima are my best trade bait. Any suggestions on who to go for?

Also, the best names on the wire are:

Feliz
Ellis
Crosby
Greene
D. Roberts
Nevin
Uggla

none of which I can really use.

pitchers:

L. Hernandez
Cain
Linebrink
N. Robertson
D. Cabrera
Moyer
Tomko
Pinero

Any further comments much appreciated.

Well, I'm suprised that nobody has Brian Roberts on their team. Chase Utley is a stud, but Roberts could be a decent replacement if Utley is traded. I suggest trading Utley and one of your weaker SP's for an ace an pick up Roberts (as he is getting close to recovering).
By the way, nice team! :-D

Believe me, if it was Brian Roberts, I would have a waiver claim on him already. It's Dave though :-[

I think my biggest weakness right now is my pitching staff. My starters are winning games, and my closers arent getting opps.

Is Ricky Weeks + Johjima a reasonable package for mid level SP who can snag some wins for me? Like a Brett Myers or Schmidt or Garcia etc?

Johjima and Weeks would be a good bait, but dont settle for anything less than Schmidt, he has looked pretty good and seems to be back to his old from, other than that your roster looks good, I would possibly look for a solid OF such as a Dye or Kearns or Dunn, good luck this season!!! ;-D

woops! Didn't know it was Dave.... :,-( lol

Ya those 2 guys look like good bait, and if you could get Schmidt that would REALLY help you out. The owner might not be inclined to accept at first, maybe wait until Weeks has a big game.
