I'm a loser, I know. But I just glanced at a thread I was in, and noticed that my post count was at 2112. That happens to be the name of my FAVORITE Rush album.

And since I know we have Rush fans in here (especial the Toronto-area folks) I was moved to make a quick post about that album -- kind of a futuristic rock-opera-concept album. It's one of those albums that, (back in the day of vinyl records), you really had to listen to the whole first side, rather than individual songs.

Hopefully, Rush fans know what I'm talking about. If not, disregard as the rantings of an old man.

when I was in 7th grade, that had just come out and all the 'burnouts' had secured a record player and would blast it on the stage in the cafeteria...awesome stuff...

Rock on brother.

I've seen them about a half dozen times live and they are among the best musicians in the world.

RUSH fans will want to click on THIS - especially Neil Peart fans.

It's not from 2112 and it may take a minute or so to d/l but Peart doing YYZ is worth the wait.

Very talented rock band. Too bad their lead singer has one the most gawd awful sounding voices in the history of music.

Great band, great album ;-D

My favorite album is A Farewell to Kings, but 2112 is probably my favorite Rush song.

PS. Rush is working on a new album, for all those Rush fans ;-D

though my favorite Rush song comes from the Permanent Waves album, now immortalized in my sig

Rush is pretty friggin' good. ;-D

My roommate played Rush in college all the time, and I thought they were really good. 2112 is one of my favorite songs ever. Congratulations on that Pacman!

Rush still ranks as #1 on my list of best concerts ever. I saw Rush in 2004, 5th row. Words truly don't express how amazing that show was. I paid $200 for the ticket and every penny was well spent. ;-D
