Yes...
He's a risk to start (I've had him in my utility spot for awhile but that might not last much longer), but he's a threat on the basepaths and was once viewed as one of the best prospects in the league. It could be that he's a "late bloomer" and will hit over .300, approach 80 RBIs and even around 15 homeruns, finally playing up to his potential. Or, it could be that he and his fast start have already flamed out and he's reverting to his unremarkable minor league stats as we speak. Afterall, minor league stats usually predict major league stats.
He seems to be of...let's say...unstable maturity, so I worry about him not being able to break out of a slump.

I had him starting over Marcus Giles until he hit this slump. I'm keeping him on the bench for a bit longer before dropping. If you have a sufficient 2B, I think you're fine dropping him as his ceiling is likely that he'll play just as well as a few other options in terms of plugging into your UTIL slot. I'm not sold that he's the type you'll regret dropping this early in the season.

I don't know what people are bitching about but he was free (the best part) and he is pretty productive IMO.
