Carrie Muskat, of Cubs.MLB.com, reports Chicago Cubs P Mark Prior (shoulder) threw a 25-pitch batting practice session Tuesday, May 9, in Mesa, Arizona, and will likely throw in a simulated game next.

Any word on his projected return to the starting rotation? What do you guys project for him upon his return..... i was thinking about trading him after a couple of good starts because he is bound to end up on the DL again before the season is over.

If everything goes well, late May return is possible, but he's probably looking at early/mid June

Mark Prior's first simulated game will be Sunday in Mesa, Ariz., against rookie leaguers. …

If you can find someone who doesn't think the way you do about Prior then cetainly trade him, but most people do, so you probably won't get a whole lot.

Does the late May-early June thought still hold for Prior?

I'd say he'll be back by the first week in June.

From Yahoo~

May 17 Carrie Muskat, of Cubs.MLB.com, reports Chicago Cubs P Mark Prior (shoulder) was to throw a side session Tuesday, May 16. The next step in Prior's rehabilitation would be determined on how Prior felt after the session, according to Cubs pitching coach Larry Rothschild.
