Pitcher to drop: Donnelly (unless your league counts holds)
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
If you're going to drop a hitter, I'd drop Conine, because you have Bagwell at 1B and Ibanez is performing as well as Conine, but gives you OF and 1B eligibility. Having 3 1B on the bench is a waste of roster space that could be used for a pitcher IMO.
In fact, now that you have Nevin back, having 3 3B eligible players is also kind of a waste. I would consider trading Aaron Boone for an upgrade at another position, maybe at catcher or get another top tier closer. In a standard league, Donnelly isn't that useful because he doesn't give you wins or saves and doesn't pitch enough innings to have much ERA impact. Marte is also of questionable value since he is the lefty half of a closing platoon, and will only likely get around 30% of the save opps. Another good full time closer would benefit, assuming guys like Beck, Lincoln and Cordero aren't on the wire.
Politte, Mears and Lincoln are on the wire, but they have very little value also... Im trying to trade Boone to get another closer but no major bites yet...
Keep an eye on Politte. The Jays are going to win plenty of games and they are saying it was the injury that caused Politte to pitch so poorly. With his past numbers, I'm inclined to believe them.
