Is this guy a reliable source for steals. He could possibly win the week for you in H2H and also provide runs for roto. He has stolen 40 bases in a season a couple times. If you need a boost in the category, there are worse options that might be on the wire.
Any Padres homers have some insight?
Basically I'm complicated.
I have a hard time taking the easy way
I wouldn't call it schizophrenia
But Ill be at least two people today
He has injury problems but yeah I have him starting in my H2H league. When Hermida and Kinsler come back, he will likely platoon based on my weekly match up.

Luckily I spot started him yesterday and took his 3 steals, which is probably 10% of what he'll have all season.
i disagree. he's a steals machine when healthy. that's the problem though, he's always battling some kind of injury. he might not help you in average but now that he has an everyday spot he'll help out in runs and sb's.

5 of his steals have come in the past week....was he injured to start the season or is it just a fluke that he got so hot lately?
Keep in mind that 2 of his steals yesterday came against the Maddux/Barrett combo which is not exactly an intimidating presence to baserunners.
I find it funny how after one 3 steal game, or a 2-3 HR game, the player suddenly has an instant fan club around here.
This is still Dave Roberts we're talking about, and while he does have some SB potential, he will have a minor injury soon and his value will not be this high all season most likely.
Like I said, ride him while you can but I really think you're seeing Dave Roberts at his peak value right now.
3 steals against michael barrett isn't that tough (currently throwing out under 20% of base-stealers), but it also demonstrates confidence in his legs.
i say his health has returned.
edit: slomo, we are en fuego with the barrett clause! nicely done.
I use Roberts in a platoon. Using him in that way you can get the same production as you would with a guy like Pods or Pierre who get drafted many rounds earlier.
