Andre Ethier vs. Felix Pie

I saw this article and because I own Ethier in a league and was surprised he was that highly thought of(always thought that Pie was a premier prospect). Just want to hear what you guys have to say.

and another question: is all the Latino player's age(or most of them) currect now in the post 911 era?

Latino ages- for the most part, but every now and then there will be another one. Pie is definitely no older than 21.

Pie's ceiling is WAY higher than Ethier's, but Pie also has a much better chance of flaming out. He's the typical toolsy prospect, who is either boom or bust. They did put up similar numbers last year, but Ethier was three years older.

To put it another way, Ethier is more patient, and doesn't have the tools that Pie has, power/speed potential, but is a safer bet to become a 15/15 or 20/20 guy than Pie. Pie could be a 40/40 guy or he could end up striking out 100 times in his first 300 at bats and never seen from again.

who's the better prospect? Corey Patterson or Pie. Tool wise

i would say patterson has better tools since he had a good year in the majors already....but there is no way u can call him a prospect anymore

well, I was talking about Corey the prospect a few years ago comparing to Pie

They were both pretty similiar at the same stages in their minor league career. I'd have to side w/ Pie though due to his projectibility in power, better contact skills, and his make up/background.
