Is the leadoff spot really affecting him that badly? This sucks, what am I supposed to do with Giles, when is he due to bounce back?

I hope they switch them. More RBI opportunities. I thought he would run more in the leadoff spot, but it hasn't happened. Seems like I get him every year due to the fact he falls so far in the draft.

If he were to hit .290 for the season, it would mean he would probably have to hit over .300 from here on out. I am fine with that. However, I don't know if that will happen. The thing is, he is usually a very strong starter, but not this year. That is what has me concerned. I was actually hoping he would out homer his brother this year. Doesn't look so good.

I am fed up, I am trying to sell him low, I don't care. Seems like there are better options on the wire.

yeah m giles is sucking right now. Not to hijack the thread but he was just dropped in a 12 team league... got a waiver on him.

I wouldn't count on that type of switch. Giles is getting a fair number of walks relatively speaking and Renteria is getting hits. It make sense right now to keep them in the order they are.

a little side note: giles' started a family to begin the season. I can recall 2 or 3 instances where players had a son or daughter at the start of the season and had terrible seasons. Id drop him and move on before there is no other 2B option on the wire. that's just me though.

Giles didn't just start a family this year. While he did have a child in spring training, he has another daughter who is a couple of years old. There were some complications due to the premature birth, but his new daughter is reported to be fine now.

I started the year w/ loretta, giles was dropped, I passed, someone else used their waiver. I dropped loretta for Biggio. I know what im getting w/ Biggio. I'll take Biggio over Giles this season in an instance.
