good prospect out of the A's system, now with the LA Dodgers? Backing up Jose Cruz I assume. What's the guy's outlook and could he get a starting job this year?

I really like Ethier for fantasy purposes. He could post 20-20 numbers in the majors, but probably not this year. If the Dodgers are out of it, Cruz will probably be expendable, which might open up a spot for him. He has a good approach at the plate, so he should have success early in his career. He has also had plenty of time in the minors. He can also play all three outfield spots.

On another note, Russ Martin is probably a better hitter than Navarro. I don't know as much about his defensive skills, but I picked him up to be my backup to VMart for the next couple of weeks. (Not that VMart will ever sit.)
