Me and this guy are battling it out in my league, I would be more worried if he wasn't consistently benching three of his best players. ;-) I don't care what your excuse is you don't bench Alex Rodriguez, Adam Dunn, and Jason Bay.

Ahhh the advantages of a small league with a small roster.

I wouldn't be too comfortable with this if I were you. If he's battling for 1st with you without using his best players, because they aren't hitting, just think of the trouble you're going to be in when they do start hitting.
If he's so down on those 3 guys, why don't you swipe them from him?

I'm not comfortable by any means, its still very early, in addition to his guys heating up others can get in the mix too. I have started to open up a gap though, mainly because of these benchings, Dunn and Bay had 2 HRs and 7 RBIs on his bench the last two days. Also, I have Teixeira that I'm waiting on as well. This guy won't trade, he hasn't responded to any of my offers this year or made any trades w/ other people.

The Pirates, Reds, and Yankees didn't have games yesterday. He obviously benched them for their fill-ins who did have games - Atkins, Rowand, etc. Since there are no early games today, he is probably just hasn't set his lineup for today.

Good point, you were half right. He did move Rodriguez into his lineup, Dunn and Bay remain on the bench though. And I have seen him bench Rodriguez before, mainly when Atkins is at home.

I thought I had a ridiculous bench in my 10 teamer with Ryan Howard, Hank Blalock and Todd Helton fighting for the Utl spot.
